Dr. Guerrini was previously the Chair of the Music Education program at Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts.  Prior to her collegiate career, Dr. Guerrini was a Music Education specialist teaching in the New Jersey public schools for many years.

Dr. Guerrini received a Ph.D. in Music education from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Her articles have appeared in various national and international publications, including the Journal for Research in Music Education, and she has presented research and workshops on the state, regional, national, and international levels.  She has presented research twice through the auspices of the The International Society of Music Educators: once in 2006 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and again in 2008, in Bologna, Italy.

More recently, Dr. Guerrini’s research was presented in Sheffield, Great Britain at a CIM 10 Music Symposium.  In spring, 2010, she presented research on computer assessment of vocal intonation at Yale University.

Dr. Guerrini’s area of focus is vocal accuracy among singers and promoting teaching excellence among students of Music Education.
