Concert Band

MUS 145 (Non-Majors: MUS 185)

The TCNJ Concert Band is a 44-52 member ensemble meeting twice a week to rehearse and perform music for woodwinds, brass and percussion. Admission is by audition only; participants include both non-music majors and music majors. Standard, contemporary and commercial wind symphony/concert band repertoire is studied and performed, emphasizing gaining skills to better each student’s individual level of musicianship. Concert Band gives one concert at the end of each semester.

Concerto/Solo Competition

TCNJ Concert Band announces as a new addition to its program the First Annual Concerto/Solo Competition. The winner will perform with the Concert Band on the April 2013 Spring Concert. The competition is open to major and non-major woodwind, brass and percussion instrumentalist who are registered members of the Concert Band for at least one semester during the 2012/2013 academic year.
